American violinist Caroline Goulding's Kansas City debut-concert program with Russian-born pianist Dina Vainshtein includes Mozart's Sonata for Violin and Piano in G major, K 301 (293a); Enescu's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3 in A minor, Op. 25; Schumann's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 1 in A minor, Op. 105; Fauré's Romance for Violin and Piano in B-flat major, Op. 28; and Ysaÿe's Caprice d'après l'etude en forme de Valse de Saint-Saëns.

Just 19, Caroline Goulding has wowed the world and is poised for a major career in classical music. The 2011 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner is “already a violinist of impressive technical polish and musical maturity,” praised Gramophone magazine. Her 2009 debut disc was nominated for a Grammy and has meanwhile captivated the classical luminaries of our time, including John Corigliano, whose Red Violin Caprice is on her first CD. “She gives a totally individual interpretation to my music. I think she will shortly become a very famous young woman and only hope that she gives my other violin works a glance,” the famed composer said.

"Goulding is a skilled violinist well on her way to an important career," wrote noted writer Anne Midgette for The Washington Post. "...she got a throaty warmth from her Stradivarius rather than simply yielding to the temptation of making pretty singing sounds...It was beautifully executed." A past recipient of the Stradivari Society, Goulding currently plays the General Kyd Stradivarius (c 1720), courtesy of Jonathan Moulds.
